Problem overview
Deploying backup agents across multiple operating systems and environments can be tedious, especially if you’re juggling both local and cloud deployments. This automation provides a unified approach to installing Axcient x360Recover, taking into account your environment and ensuring a smooth backup configuration every time.
This automation installs Axcient x360Recover on Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints. Simply fill in the custom fields to specify whether you’re using a local server (with IP or hostname) or a cloud token, and let the workflow handle the rest. You can trigger it manually or have it run automatically by applying the “Backup” tag. If the installation fails for any device, Level promptly generates an alert, allowing you to take corrective action before critical data is at risk.
Use cases
- Centralized x360Recover deployment across diverse operating systems.
- Adapting to both local server–based and cloud-based backups in a single workflow.
- Triggering installs automatically by adding a “Backup” tag to new or existing endpoints.
- Receiving immediate alerts if installations fail, helping ensure continuous protection.
Recommendations
- Test on a small group of endpoints to confirm your local or cloud configuration fields are correctly set.
- Enable alerts so you’re quickly informed of any issues and can address them promptly.
- Regularly verify your Axcient credentials and server details to prevent install failures or misconfigurations.
- Document your environment’s local IP or cloud token clearly so that team members can replicate or troubleshoot easily.
